Community Guidelines
These rules apply to public handles, profiles, friend requests, challenges, match activity, reports, and support correspondence.
Not allowed
- Threats, targeted harassment, bullying, stalking, or repeated unwanted contact.
- Hateful or discriminatory handles or conduct attacking protected characteristics.
- Sexual content involving minors, sexual exploitation, or graphic sexual content.
- Instructions or credible promotion of violence, self-harm, illegal activity, or dangerous wrongdoing.
- Impersonation, exposure of private information, fraud, scams, spam, or malicious links.
- Cheating, score manipulation, coordinated match abuse, exploitation, or evasion of blocks and restrictions.
- Knowingly false or malicious reports intended to punish another player.
Reporting and blocking
Use the contextual Report action so the case is bound to the relevant profile, request, challenge, or completed match. Blocking immediately ends the friend relationship and pending requests or challenges between the two players and prevents future discovery/contact in supported social paths. Do not use support email for an emergency.
Human review
Automation may organize evidence or draft a recommendation, but it cannot send a response, impose a restriction, or decide an appeal. A human reviewer examines the immutable report evidence and records the reason for dismissing, warning, or temporarily restricting social participation. Safety evidence is not rewritten when an action is reversed.
Notice and appeal
A player subject to a moderation action receives an in-app notice identifying the rule category, action, duration when applicable, and evidence-bound case reference without exposing the reporter. The player may submit one appeal from that notice. A human reviewer records whether the action is upheld or reversed; reversal clears the restriction and preserves the audit history.
Immediate danger
If someone faces immediate danger, contact local emergency services. Bowl With Words support is monitored on a bounded beta schedule and is not an emergency service.
